Funeral Media Packages

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the service or within 7 days after the event.
• Payment can be made via EFT, cash, or card. For funeral homes on account, invoicing terms may apply.
• Booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received and acknowledged by TributePoint.
• Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change. The price confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured.

• TributePoint may use independent contractors, freelancers, or partnered service providers to fulfil media packages. This includes photographers, videographers, camera operators, technicians, and screen hire providers.
• All contractors are vetted, experienced, and briefed by TributePoint before every event. They operate under our quality standards and code of conduct.
• TributePoint remains the single point of contact and takes full responsibility for the quality of work delivered, regardless of whether it was performed by staff or a contractor.
• You will never need to deal with a contractor directly. All communication, complaints, and deliverables go through TributePoint.

We understand that funeral arrangements can change at short notice. Cancellations are handled as follows:

Date/time changes: If the funeral is postponed (not cancelled), we will reschedule at no additional charge, subject to availability.

If something goes wrong on the day or with your deliverables, here's how we handle refunds:

• Full refund (100%) — If TributePoint completely fails to provide the booked service (e.g., no one arrives, no stream is started, no photos are taken) and this is due to our fault or our contractor's fault, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
• Partial refund or credit — If we deliver part of the service but a specific component fails (e.g., livestream dropped due to connectivity with no backup, or the photographer could not cover the cemetery), we will refund or credit the value of the undelivered portion.
• Re-edit or redo at no cost — If deliverables (photos, videos, slideshow) are of unacceptable quality, we will re-edit or recreate them at no extra charge. If you are still unsatisfied, a proportional refund will be issued.
• No refund — For completed services delivered to the agreed standard, no refund will be issued. Minor variations in style, angle, or editing preference do not constitute grounds for a refund.
• Claims must be submitted within 14 days of the service date. Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days via the original payment method.

Not all events go as planned. The following circumstances are beyond our reasonable control:

• Power outages at the venue (load shedding, generator failure) preventing equipment operation
• Severe weather (storms, flooding, extreme wind) making outdoor photography or screen setup unsafe
• Venue restrictions imposed by the church, cemetery, or venue management that limit filming, photography, or equipment placement
• Network/cellular outages from mobile providers affecting livestream connectivity (we use 4G/5G bonding to mitigate this, but total network failure can occur)
• Road closures, protests, civil unrest, or dangerous situations preventing our team from reaching the venue
• Pandemic or government-imposed restrictions limiting gatherings or media coverage

• Our team carries backup equipment (spare cameras, batteries, memory cards, mobile data devices) to every event. However, catastrophic equipment failure can occasionally occur.
• If equipment failure prevents us from delivering a booked service, a full refund for the affected service will be issued. For bundles, only the affected component is refunded.
• TV screens and LED displays are tested before delivery. If a screen fails on-site and cannot be replaced in time, the screen hire portion of the booking will be refunded in full.

To deliver the best possible service, the client or funeral home must provide:

• Correct venue address, date, and time — at least 24 hours before the service
• Permission from the venue for our team to set up cameras, screens, and equipment
• Access to a power outlet for TV screens and LED displays (unless battery-powered)
• Photos and music for slideshows and tribute videos — at least 24 hours before the service
• A contact person on the day who can assist with venue access, spokesperson for family photography, and guide our team

• TributePoint's total liability for any claim arising from a media service shall not exceed the total amount paid for that specific booking.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or emotional damages arising from service failures, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of sentimental value, or missed moments.
• We understand that funeral moments are irreplaceable. This is why we invest in backup equipment, experienced contractors, and thorough planning — but we cannot guarantee perfection in unpredictable live environments.
• Our services are subject to the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the CPA.

• All photos, videos, and media produced are delivered to the client and stored on the client's Google Drive. The family has full ownership of their media.
• TributePoint may use anonymised or watermarked samples in our portfolio or marketing materials, unless the family requests otherwise in writing.
• No media will be shared publicly or on social media without the family's written consent.

• If you are unhappy with any aspect of your service, please contact us within 14 days at info@tributepoint.co.za or call 068 752 2262.
• We will investigate every complaint thoroughly and respond within 3 working days with a proposed resolution.
• If we cannot resolve the matter directly, either party may refer the dispute to the National Consumer Commission or pursue mediation/arbitration under South African law.
